answer:
All girls are different when they have their period. You and my friend are just alike, you both have headache, cramps, sleep all the time, and wake up weak. Me on the other hand, I'm in a better mood when I'm on my period, and I eat healthier and drink more water. Some girls are happy on their period, others are pissy and don't do anything but sleep. About your weight, yes you are overweight, but your weight has nothing to do with the cramps. You have cramps because that's just how your body is when you have your period.

I dunno what to tell you about the sleep thing,

but I do have some experience with the cramps,
and no it is not an overweight thing, I've maintained a pretty average weight and I use to have cramps so bad I would be in the floor crying, in the fetal position, there are two things you can do, one of which helped me,

first, i used IB Profin (Specifically Advil)!!! It is the only thing that works for my cramps takes the pain almost immediately away you have to get something strong, midol, pamprin tylenol and all that crap doesn't work,

The next option which I never tried is birth control pills... I know weird... but you can take them even if you're not sexually active. They regulate your period, and reduce the flow... which less bleeding=less cramps... what the doc told me... but I never had to take them.... IB Profin is the best (like I said get Advil)

If your cramps continually get worse I would recommend seeing a gynecologist.

Well it is normal to be over tired and get stomach cramps during your period. You can take iron tablets to help with being tired and painkillers to help the cramps. Headaches I can't help you with I don't think that is due to your period, but may be linked with you being tired. Being overweight may also make all of these things worse but I am not sure.

you are like me. I had this problem when I first got my period. you need to make sure you start taking a vitamin a few days before you start your period, and take one every day during your period. (you might just want to start taking one everyday regardless of your period). also, make sure you're eating regularly, even if you're not hungry - it will make you feel better. I made myself eat while I was on my period and it almost instantly makes you feel better. And make sure you're getting protein. you can drink milk, eat eggs and meat. and take ibuprofen, or some other pain killer. its perfectly fine to take a dose three times a day for a week. midol is kind of a hit or miss for me.

You're right, you're not experiencing painful cramps because of your weight. Severe cramps are actually more common among girls that weigh less.

It sounds like it's something that runs in your family, unfortunately for you. Take extra-strength midol for your cramps, headaches and drowsiness, and take pepto-bismo for your nausea.

I hope that helps.

Most of these symptoms seem normal in a period, but some are a little extreme! I would see a doctor! My mother started having bad cramps and things like that and now she needs to get here Uterus taken out, so I would not leave it up to Yahoo Answers to see if you will be ok! I would see a doctor ASAP! You and your mother both! It sounds like your period is making you a little anemic, and that does not sound good at all! SEE A DOCTOR! ASAP!

This time of the month affects everyone differently. I'm normal weight and have the same thing you have.

1.) Take Aleve. The Naproxen helps the best with pain.
2.) Try picking up the heaviest thing you can, like a car bumper. You aren't actually going to pick it up, but the act helps push the stuff that cause the cramps on through.

it's normal
let her drink alcohol something strong, i know it sounds unconventional but my sister used to do that
also um keep warm, take medicine like advil or some of that girly sort of thing and you'll be fine :)

observation haha

no it it not because of ur weight. having cramps is completely (and unfortunately) normal. head aches and tiredness also come along with the cramps, so u are completely normal:) take a midol...it will help with cramping, bloating etc.

Go to your doctor. Do not wait any longer. You could have cysts on your ovaries, or worse - cancer. This is more than just PMS or PMDD.

Honey you need to get to the doctors you could have cyst.

It is normal for this symtom but should consult with doctor to be sure
