Should I go get checked out.........?
Today at work I had an accident where I was making a patients bed and as I swung around to grab the blankets I hit my leg against the chair that was behind me, I have a haematoma on my leg from the bump and a massive bruise and I can't lay on that side which is the side I always lay on. I have tried ice and a hot pack hoping one of them will help ease the pain. This happened 10hrs again but still feels like I've just done it. I'm a haemophiliac, and I'm wondering if I should get it checked out, or just relax at home. I doubt I will get any to much sleep at all. I have taken Ibuprofen and panadol to ease the pain but hasn't helped.
answer:
Go and get it checked out. Please babe. You'll feel better once you know there's nothing to worry about and they might be able to do something to ease the pain and help you sleep.
Hi there. I would definitely go and get it checked out. Hematoma's are very painful. Icing it and taking some Advil should have helped with the pain by now. Since so much time has passed and the pain hasn't subsided, I would get it checked out by a doctor. It is better to be safe than sorry! Make an appt. as soon as you can.

get it checked out if you can

Though there is no cure for haemophilia, it can be controlled with regular infusions of the deficient clotting factor, i.e. factor VIII in haemophilia A or factor IX in haemophilia B. Factor replacement can be either isolated from human blood serum, recombinant, or a combination of the two. Some haemophiliacs develop antibodies (inhibitors) against the replacement factors given to them, so the amount of the factor has to be increased or non-human replacement products must be given, such as porcine factor VIII.
If you are a hemophiliac. Then yes you should get seen to.
Serious hemorrhage can occur internally from the bump.

Taking ibuprofen is not a good idea with your condition either as ibuprofen thins the blood, causing an increase in bleeding just on it's own.
go and get it checked out now if you can't drive call the ambo's

don't leave it !!
