Holiday in 2 days, period just started!?

This is my 3rd ever period and we booked a holiday to go on in just 2 days, and I didn't think it would start today or while I was there, but now it has.
I've never used a tampon properly and I don't want to use one really because I don't think I can get them in right, so I think it's going to fall out.
I've been looking forward to this holiday all year and my friend (girl) is coming with me as well, looks like I'm just going to be standing on the edge of the pool for the whole time D:

Any suggestion on what to do?

You're gonna have to learn how to use a tampon! Ask your mom for help; it's really easy and it won't fall out~

ok so i want you to try using a tampon, use the whole box if you have to to get it right! and if you cant figure out the applicator properly, use the ones that come without an pplicator, they are called O.B. the brand name....shove it strait in, not letting it turn to the sides...you can do it! i promise!!! you can only get better if you practice! and tampons will make your life SOOO much easier! tampons for the first time can be intemidating, trust me!!! also try having your girlfriend show you/help you! if she uses them only. this can help if your willing to have the help.

You should just really relax and use a tampon. Try using a light flow one first so that you can get used to them. Just relax when you put them in and make sure you follow the directions. Don't put them in too far or low, you really shouldn't be able to feel it while it's in.

if you want to swim you'll need to figure out how to use a tampon, its not very hard.
