Unfortunately if the medication isn't working then the only thing left is time. Are you taking Advil? This is for pain but it also is an anti inflammatory. It should help greatly. If you have to over the counter Advil, which is Ibuprofen, then they are 200mg each. The bottle says to take 1 or 2 every 4 hours. It is okay to take 3 of them at one time. You will be okay doing this for a few days. Do you have any OraGel? This is used for babies when they are teething and for anyone who is having mouth pain. If it is just so bad that you can't stand it, talk to you parents about calling the doctor and asking for a prescription for a numbing medication called Lidocaine. This is a gel like liquid (thinner than gel, thicker than water) that you swish around your mouth. It will numb it almost instantly. It's been a long, long time since I have had braces. I don't remember them hurting like that. A few days after getting them they caused my mouth to hurt but that was from them rubbing against my cheeks and making them sore. When that happened I just used the wax my Orthodontist gave me and it took care of it. Just remember, it is uncomfortable now but soon you will have nice, straight teeth and a beautiful smile :)

I have used Vanilla extract for teeth pain. It burns at first but the it will help numb the pain. Good luck and hope you find some relief.
