How to stop biting my nails?
I have a seriously bad habit of biting my nails. I know it's disgusting, and I know it's unattractive, but I just can't seem to stop. My dad stopped biting his nails because his mom told him that the little bugs that get in your nails when you're messing around in mud, go into your stomach and lay eggs. I tried thinking like that, but doesn't work.

I have the exact same habit. I've been saying for 4 years that I would stop. I have had 2 infections, one in my left pinky, one in my right. They were both from biting off the nail cuticle, leaving my nail bed prone to infection. Let me tell you... that was THE WORST pain I have ever felt. I broke my knee a couple of years ago but that was nothing compared to this. I had to go to the ER twice for them to pop all the pus out and it is nasty. I could barely use my right hand for a week and I was in pain 24/7.
That is what motivates me. Now what I do is...
-chew gum so I have something else in my mouth
-wear the light little black gloves that you find at target for like 2 bucks
-do an activity where I am already using my hands (and yes that does sound wrong but I don't mean that haha)
** OH and that nail polish stuff never works. You just peel off the polish and get right to the nail. Either way, it really doesn't taste that bad**

Get superglue with a brush. Then, brush the superglue onto your fingernail. It tastes horrible and you won't want to bite your nails cause it tastes bad. Thats how I stopped biting my nails.
dip your finger tips in acetone/nail polish remover after you wash your hands. it has an awful taste and you'll definitely keep your fingers out of your mouth when you taste that.
Lmao put something that taste nasty on your finger like a baby.
