Why do I have a massive hole in my tooth ?
On one of my teeth, at the very back, I have a really big hole. It goes through the whole middle of the tooth so I can see the red gum underneath, and nearly a whole side of the tooth is missing.

I think I had a filling there but I am not 100% sure. I admit I havent been good at looking after my teeth this year because I have been suffering from severe depression. I know it isn't much of an excuse...but I lost all motivation and even struggled to find myself getting out of bed.

Will I have to have it out ?
answer:
It sounds exactly like a baby tooth that is resorbing and you are getting ready to lose it. If it is a permanent tooth it has decayed so badly that there is nothing left to restore and it would have to be extracted. Any questions, see a dentist

I'm a dentist
It could be a filling that has dropped out or just decay. Either way if you do not see the dentist soon you will suffer from bad toothache. So visit a dentist asap.
be guided by the dentist and make sure you keep your peggies clean
