Help with my tooth....Please advise?

I have a slight hole in one of my back teeth. It is just under a quarter of the tooth and is in the bottom right corner. It was caused by a dentist who chipped it whilst examining my teeth. It isn't black but does show some of the inside of the tooth.I don't like dentists and was wondering if someone could tell me what sort of treatment i might need.

just go back too the dentists and say U DID THIS SO REPARE IT !!!

How can a dentist chip a big hunk off your tooth by examining it? It was already decayed or cracked and was so weak that even by touching it with an explorer it broke. Healthy normal teeth cannot be damaged from an exam You would have to pound and bang on to with a chisel to cause it to break odd 1/4 of the tooth. You will either need a filling or if not enough good tooth remains to hold a filling, a crown.

If the dentist did it himself, tell him to fix it! I have a similar problem. My filling came out, and I am getting it repaired tomorrow. Just ask you dentist, and they should fix it right away so it doesn't get decay in it! :)

I believe it requires some filling in order to avoid food particulars getting struck. I would advice you to go to a dentist at the earliest to get it filled.
