Carrot juice or Vitamin A supplements?

Carrot juice or Vitamin A supplements?
I've been drinking 1 cup of carrot juice each day to help clear up a breakout on my forehead and I'm wondering if taking Vitamin A supplements or drinking the carrot juice will be more beneficial?

Any help would be great, thanks !! :)

answer:
They are both going to be beneficial, but with a Vitamin A supplement, you'll know exactly how much you're getting instead of whatever is naturally occurring in the carrots.
One thing to note is that Beta Carotene (the stuff in carrots and commonly listed as Vitamin A) is the safest option for Vitamin A content because the body won't convert it into Vitamin A unless it's needed. Too much Vitamin A is bad for you because it is fat-soluble and can build up in the body... Beta Carotene is much safer in higher doses. Good luck and I hope I helped!

I will have to agree with oldtimekid2 that, in most cases, the natural source of the nutrient you want to supplement your diet with is the way to go. If you need additional supplementation & / or if at times you do not have access to the natural source of the said nutrients, then a good-brand supplement can help as well (especially one in soft gel capsule form).

Good info from OTK on the differences between Vitamin A & beta carotene. I will add that some people's bodies don't do a very good job at converting beta carotene into A, so they do need a supplement.

Also scientists now know that there are multiple facets to vitamin A. So, as usual, the absolute BEST program involves diet, not just supplementation. Eat beef liver, asparagus, watermelon, winter squash, sweet potatoes, leafy greens like kale & spinach.

There are other things to look at if your skin stays unhealthy. One is hormone fluctuations, which can be help by supplementing with Vitex extract. This can also help with monthly mood swings, water retention, cramps, etc. if you're a woman. Guys can use it too; it helps with adolescent temper.

Drink lots of water and keep the bowels moving regularly to promote healthy skin. Use diluted apple cider vinegar to remove soap products from your face. Then use a natural base moisturizer to make sure skin isn't dry after cleansing because this can also cause eruptions.
