How do i make incense?
i really want to learn how to make some naturally
answer:
I really like the site I listed below. They give free, detailed instructions for making incense that lights or for using a loose powder incense, which is easier to make and requires no binder. The binder they recommend and sell is makko powder. It seems like a really down-to-earth, no-nonsense and well-researched instruction.
Or you can buy loose, natural incense & burners at some larger health food stores. Most of them sell the charcoal disks that light and then you can put loose herbs, resins or woods on top of the burning charcoal. The site I've suggested, however, says those discs usually contain saltpeter, a hazardous chemical.

The main ingredients are charcoal powder (to make it burn correctly) and one or more plants ground up into a power. You'll need to mix the herbs and the charcoal into a paste. I'm not sure what holds it together in commercial incense - I believe a small amount of sugar and water would work though. Roll it around a stick of the right thickness and length, and allow it to dry.
