To the guy that said nothing happens on your first time, that's a myth.
The reason why most people dont get high the first time is because they dont inhale right, and think they are. If you inhale corretly you WILL get high. There is no resean why the THC that enters your lungs wont "work" on you. Make sure you don't swallow the smoke, a lot of new smokers do that and think that's how you inhale. When you take a hit, take a breath and hold it in as long as you can.
It's depends on the bud your smoking, but it will be intense the first hour, then die down. So about 2 hours.

Well, your first time you don't really even know what high is. So, best to counteract this is to smoke enough so that you are sure to get high. (This is how it happened for me!) So enough will be like 1 bowl maybe, like maybe 1/3g will do it. Once you have completed this you are (within like 10 minutes) going to feel what it's like to be HIGH ! And it is so amazing.....you are going to love it and have so much amazing fun. I'd recommend being with a few chill friends and lots of good food! =)

Yeah Your Favorite Stoner pretty much summed it up for you i would've bassicly said the same thing as him. Usually it will last at least 1 and a half to 2 and a half hours on your first time. It really depends on how good your bud is and how much you do and how you do it..

It all depends on how much you smoke and how good the weed is. Your first time is going to be the most intense high from marijuana you'll ever experience. Be careful! & dont freak out man, its all in your head! lol.
Less than 4 hours, The effect (high) decreases gradually. Unless of course you keep smoking. Than it's from the last hit.
