Carrier oil for best absorption of essential oils into the body?
What carrier oil is the best for allowing contained essential oils to absorb into the body? I know there are some vegatable oils which block the ability to absorb the oil or its contained essential oils.

So which one would let the absorption happen the best? I have looked into jojoba oil, but while it says it is absorbed there was some things which made it unclear if it would make a good carrier to allow essential oils to get into the body.
best answer:
Any of these would work fine.

Sweet Almond Oil Kukui Nut Oil
Apricot Kernel Oil Macadamia Nut Oil
Avocado Oil Meadowfoam Oil

Cranberry Seed Oil Pecan Oil

Grapeseed Oil Seabuckthorn Berry Oil
Hazelnut Oil Sesame Oil
Hemp Seed Oil Sunflower Oil
Jojoba Watermelon Seed Oil

Jojoba makes a fine carrier oil...happens to be my favorite, next to a good olive oil....however, olive oil if it is a good quality tends to have an aroma of its own...

Stick with the jojoba oil if you can afford it...

Grapeseed is fine too....just my skin responds better to olive, so its my preference.
Sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil are two that seem to be used a lot, but I don't know about absorption. I do know, however, that mineral oil is not to be used because it sits on the skin and doesn't absorb, or let essential oils absorb.
Here are a bunch of aromatherapy recipes http://www.aromatherapy-blends.net/aroma… simply add some of the oil mixture to the soaps to make them scented.
